New Education Facilities

Education Facilities

Education is the heart and soul of the Lake Balboa Park Project. The environmental and cultural curriculum envisioned for the studies center will prepare L.A. public school students how to address critical societal problems and effect positive change in our city and beyond.

It should be noted that the LAUSD student demographic is 80% minority and median family income is much lower (at least by a third) than the median family income of LA County. 16% of LAUSD families are below the poverty line and this percentage is higher within City Council District 6, where Lake Balboa Park is situated.
